A multi-channel marketing campaign featuring 15 stories for the 15-year anniversary of She’s the First. Stories were included in a physical and digital storybook and shared via email, social media, and at an in-person event.

One of my major goals as the Director of Advocacy & Communications at She’s the First was to ensure girls in our leadership programming had opportunities to lead our advocacy work. So I created the Girl Activist Fellowship, an 18-month program structured as a project-based learning model where 30 girls from around the world learn by planning and executing an advocacy campaign for their peers on the global stage.

The resulting campaigns nearly doubled the number of girls who have completed an activist activity with She’s the First in its first year, from 2466 in 2022 to 3598 in 2023. 

Created the branding for the repackaging of She’s the First programs under the new Girls First Institute umbrella; Worked with programs team to ensure the voice and copy reflected the needs of the participant audience while staying true to our overarching organizational brand. Collaborated with programs team to journey map every communications journey that could lead current program participants to the new program and strategized communications to guide them to sign up.

Creative and art direction for a multi-channel marketing campaign that featured photos of girls in our programs artistically illustrated in overlay as their future selves. The concept illustrated all of the possibilities ahead for these young women, if they have ongoing support, mentorship, and education.

World leaders don’t know what girls want. Girls do.

Over the past decade, countless consultations around the world have asked girls and young feminists what they need. They are calling out for solidarity and justice, demanding that world leaders honour their rights and resource their work.

As part of an informal coalition of more than 20 girl-centered organizations, institutions, funders and allies, I helped bring this rally in front of the UN together. I managed the communications task force to support the creative work of Sophie Lucas and Meagan Bond and the pro bono PR service from Edelman (our partner at She's the First), supported girls in our programs to attend, and photographed the event. When our collective talents came together, we created what one girl said was "the best day of my life!"

A UGC campaign for International Women’s Day celebrating the mentors in all our lives—but especially the mentors of the girls She’s the First serves.

The campaign featured illustrations, quotes, and poems by girls in our partner programs about their mentors and encouraged our supporters to share to social media about the mentors in their lives.
